In Arlington County, affordable housing production and preservation goals are measured annually through defined Goals and Targets, and reviewed by the local Housing Commission. Specific tools to achieve these goals include an Affordable Housing Investment Fund, which provides revolving, low-interest loans and tenant assistance to housing providers, and an Affordable Housing Ordinance, which prescribes mandatory affordable housing contributions for all residential and commercial site plans.
