Regional Solutions to Interconnected Challenges
In 2008 the Coalition for Smarter Growth was busy across the region. Read Highlights 2008 to learn about the work we've done in your area.
The Washington DC region faces a wide range of challenges as it grows. On a local level people are concerned about gridlocked traffic, lengthening commutes and the challenge of finding affordable housing close to jobs and services. And there are bigger problems on a national and even international scale: the threat of climate change, the rising cost of energy and our nation's limited funds for transportation infrastructure.
The Coalition for Smarter Growth is the only organization offering regional solutions to the interconnected challenges of housing, transportation, energy and the environment. CSG employs a comprehensive and collaborative approach, providing expertise and strategic advice to everyone in the community. Through grassroots and grasstops advocacy, we inspire communities to take action that improves their neighborhoods and the DC region.
2008 was a busy year for us across the region. Read about out work in our Highlights 2008 and find out how CSG has been working to improve your neighborhood, whether you live in Prince George's, Fairfax County or DC.
