TESTIMONY: Support for 310 mixed income homes in Friendship Heights DC, Case No. 96-13A
We wish to express our support for Case No. 96-13A. The applicant proposes to redevelop the existing building used for retail, into a 12-story, 130-foot mixed-use building consisting of ground floor retail space and approximately 310 rental apartments.

Thanks to all those who took action and voiced support for creating a more inclusive, diverse, sustainable, and vibrant Chevy Chase DC. On July 12th, the DC Council voted unanimously to adopt the Chevy Chase Small Area Plan.

A more inclusive Chevy Chase DC is a matter of equity for all DC residents. The Chevy Chase small area plan advances citywide goals of affordable housing and racial equity with new housing, especially affordable housing, where currently no dedicated units exist today.

Help ensure the Dance Loft on 14th can build 101 apartments with a mix of deeply affordable homes, family-sized units, and a permanent home for Dance Loft's community arts and cultural center.
