Metro’s annual public budget hearings are coming up! It’s crucial that we all take action to support more funding for Metro. We need you to:
- Attend one of the hearings in-person to show your support, OR
- If you can’t make it in person, join the virtual hearing; AND
- Provide comments by March 5th (priority) and fill out their survey
Metro’s new budget is a huge improvement from their previous doomsday budget, thanks to savings that WMATA identified and some funding from DC, MD, and VA!
But this doesn’t fully close the gap, so there will still be some service cuts, some fare hikes, and delays to capital projects. That’s why we hope you will call for even more funding to Close the Gap!
Public input is CRUCIAL! Make your voice heard by submitting your comments before the deadline on March 5th at 5pm.

- Maryland – Silver Spring
Monday, Feb 26, 5 to 7:30pm 
Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza
- Washington D.C. – WMATA Headquarters at L’Enfant Plaza Tuesday, Feb 27, 5 to 7:30pm 300 7th Street SW
- Virginia – Arlington Wednesday, Feb 28, 5 to 7:30pm Arlington County Board Room, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Suite 307
- Virtual via Microsoft Teams Thursday, Feb 29, 12 to 1pm
