More Information

The Richmond Highway BRT will have nine stations and run between Huntington Metro Station and Fort Belvoir. Together with the bicycle and pedestrian improvements, the BRT line will offer cleaner transportation options; improve access to jobs, especially for lower-income workers; and support walkable, transit-oriented communities.

CSG and our corridor partners have continued pressing the county to improve the roadway design to make it safer for people walking, biking, and accessing transit. While some improvements have been made, like reducing the speed limit and eliminating a few turn lanes to narrow the crossing distance, we continue asking for more mid-block crossing options given the hefty distance between intersections.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more and speak up for a safer, more accessible Richmond Highway. Check out the project website here for more information about the project and open house.
