The Prince George’s County Council is about to decide how to spend more than $5 billion. We need you to help ensure the budget sustains the proposed affordable housing funding, and does a better job to build safer streets and deliver better bus service.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our walk around the Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metro station area. We were fortunate to have a great turnout with an array of public officials and local developers to discuss how the area is on the cusp of more change than we’ve seen since the Metro station opened in 1980.

TESTIMONY: Montgomery County’s Pedestrian Master Plan
We strongly support the Pedestrian Master Plan draft and commend the plan’s holistic approach to achieving pedestrian safety and comfort across the county. In particular, we appreciate that the plan acknowledges pedestrian planning as a critical tool to meet our goals around health, equity, accessibility, climate, and land use, and that we need to think about these policies as interconnected.
TESTIMONY: Montgomery County – Off Street Parking Requirements Near Mass Transit Stations
This bill will support increased development of affordable housing near transit in our county and will help Montgomery County reach our climate goals by creating opportunities for more people to live car-free and car-lite lifestyles.

Montgomery for All was disappointed to learn Friday night of the County Executive’s veto of sitting Planning Board member James Hedrick. We strongly urge the County Council to override the County Executive’s veto.
Testimony: MD State Highway Administration FY24 budget oversight hearing
The Transform Maryland Transportation Coalition is asking MDOT to flex 50% of the federal funds, as allowed by federal law, from the Surface Transportation Block Grant and National Highway Performance Program formulas towards needed investments in eligible transit, safer streets, bicycle, and pedestrian projects, and vehicle electrification.
